This is Greg Chapman with his two sons Jonathan and Nicholas, he has a daughter not pictured here, her name is Sophia. Greg lives in Brussels, Belgium with his wife Giulia and their 3 children. Greg has been hospitalized for the past month in Italy after succumbing to a mysterious disease while on holiday visiting Giulia's parents.
The doctors continue to order test after test trying to figure out why Greg's lungs and pericardium (heart) continue to fill with bloody fluid. Some days he can not breathe without the help of a respirator. They believe he has an autoimmune disease but can not figure out which one or how to treat it. They are doing all that they can at this point and that is to keep him stable and alive.
He has been unable to work and his hospital stay is racking up hundreds of thousands of dollars, it may even be in the millions as I write this. Even though he lives in a Socialist country, he is being treated outside of his coverage area and his family is responsible for paying 20% of the cost. He and his family need your help. Like the old saying "It takes a village", we believe that if everyone contributes what they can, even if it is only a few dollars, we can help his family manage Greg's healthcare cost, and keep him alive while research is being done to find a cure.
